Yes, I use mobilespeedtest.com as well. I'm in the Richmond at the moment and I just did a test:

I don't understand how you can get something below 100 as I've never had anything that low. What rom are you using? I'm using Ghettofreeryders v700 ROM.

It varies in my neighbourhood. Some times i have 2 bar signal strength and sometimes i dont have any bars at all. Last night I was testing and I got 226 kbps and then did it again right after and got 589 kbps. It seems to vary widely btwn below 100 to just below 600. i've never gotten anything above 600 though. It could be my area but it doesnt seem to be REV A speeds. I'm using Ghetto's v7 rom as well. I havent tried the speed test else where though, maybe when I remember, I'll try it in Richmond and other places to see if it's my area.

That's the EXACT same speed I get when I try. My guess is that this test doesn't have a lot of ganularity. Try tethering it up and try speedtest.net. Seems to be a little more varied in results.

I forgot to add the fact that I only get around 600kbps in Coquitlam Centre... I've never obtained speeds as high as the screenshot when walking around the mall.

My highest test was 1.2mbps in and around the border between New westminster and Richmond... and this was during the pre-rev A days.

Personally, however, I haven't notice much difference between rev A and non rev A.

Unfortunately, I cannot tether as I will be charged per KB.

Unfortunately like ckl already said, bell charges for tethering. There's no unlimited data for tethering but we get unlimited data for mobile browsing. Thus we won't be able to use speedtest.net. mobilespeedtest.com doesn't seem that accurate but unless there's another online test, that's all we can use.

I tried it around westside of vancouver and got 400ish and then in richmond, near landsdown I got 160 kbps and this is with having 4 bars. I don't know how you're getting those high speeds. Do we have REV A? I'll periodically try to test it in the different places I go, but still havent gotten anything over 600.

Can some one confirm that they this rom working with on bell touch ? or give me some instructions how to upload back the official bell rom.
you upgraded your radio so you can't really go back to original rom. You opened a big can of worms and really without you cooking a bell rom yourself before you started. If anyone has a original cooked rom. And whether it would work with the new radio or not.

Not to mention musicstore is somthing the bell rom has.

You could try omj's custom bell rom. I am running it and quite pleased with it. Except the musicstore , that would be sweet to have again
