wtf? i never know when i have email!

i used a stock alert in the phone to beep at me when i have an email, but it never beeps when i get emails. why is this doing this? anyone else have this problem

Mine work just fine. I have set up four email address and they all work. Make sure you have your phone to notify you when a new message shows up on your phone.

Go to Start-Settings-Sounds and Notifications. Then open the Notifications tab. Choose "Messaging: New e-mail message" (there are several similar options and "Messaging: New message" will not properly notify you,) then mark the appropriate check marks.

Works great on all of my phones.

don't feel bad my touch does the same I gotta (send receive)every time I can to see if I got something but I gave up never could fix

I did do a hard reset and did a gmail account at least it will show how many mssg I have now bu still wont notify me tho ......

Mine used to work fine, but after switching to JDs new GPS/Rev A rom it likes to sporadically alert me. Also, my orange blinking notification light doesn't go away after I check new text messages or emails (when it works for emails). Can't figure it out.
