Re: Help with a VZ Touch -- which ROM
There won't be a RevA GPS enabled Rom until VZ and/or Sprint release the upgrade. Only then will you see custom ROMs with RevA and GPS.
Until then, it's completely your pick. All the major chefs post quite detailed ROM descriptions, there is also a sticky on the top that showcases the major ones. Pick what you like the most, or try a few of them. That's pretty much what everybody else did. As far as what works with VZ and what doesn't: Any of the Vogue ROMs will work on your VZ one, except for may be a few carrier specific features, such as Sprint TV (no big loss there though). |

Re: Help with a VZ Touch -- which ROM
So, you are saying I can use ImCokeMan's unlocker on a VX6900... and then load let's just say.... OMJ's v8 6.1 ROM and it will work fine? Is there anyone who has tried this? And then I assume I'd have to search for the OEM progs that were on that originally. Have any Verizon OEM 6.1s been made? I didn't see any so far. But it is quite early.

Re: Help with a VZ Touch -- which ROM
I would be happy to try, but for some reason I can't connect to the ftp via the browser or ftp client to download it... NM... I got through, gonna try it now.
Update - It appears that my unlocked phone also got stuck after the flash at the VZW Logo screen as well. I already flashed a custom from bits and pieces from various kitchens, so I know thats working... not sure whats going on here, but I recovered and am back to stock. Let me know if there are any other builds to try. Appreciate the work! Last edited by hoby; 04-24-2008 at 04:43 PM. |

OMJ,
I fixed up my touch using the stock VZ rom... flashed again with your new rom and it hung at the verizon screen again on boot. |
