Re: What is the Best video format for HTC Touch using TCPMP
Have you adjusted the video settings in TCPMP? Because of the video driver issue with HTC, you have to change the way TCPMP handles the video. Go to Options/Video and choose Raw FrameBuffer. If you have already done that, I don't know what to tell you. AVI has always worked the best for me.

Did you set the audio offset to "-300", and enable GDI?

Re: What is the Best video format for HTC Touch using TCPMP
So far i would have to agree that mp4 is the best playback method depending on what you used to encode the original video. I have noticed something odd though some of the videos that i can play on my Touch and ipod are not able to play on my Com... Why is that?

Re: What is the Best video format for HTC Touch using TCPMP
Try Mp4 with following properties:
Encoder = h.264 Frame rate = 23.976(NTSC) or 29.97(PAL)? Resolution = 480 x 320 Video bitrate = 500-1000 kbps Audio encoder = AAC Audio bitrate = 320 kbps Aspect ratio = 16:9 You can use this Aimersoft Media Converter to approach it. Hope it helps!

Re: What is the Best video format for HTC Touch using TCPMP
Keep in mind that video and audio are two different things (I know sounds dumply obvious but is important).
It is not a rule that every mp4 that you play will have no sound since mp4 refers only to the video codec. Audio codec could and will be a totally different one. If you have any media experience then you know some other obvious things like that it is a total waste of time, space and performance to encode a video at "480x320" --for example-- since the Vogue just has a 320x240 screen. Same goes to the audio (if you are using headphones you can higher it a bit but don't exagerate, it will be pointless in terms of quality but you will anyway pay for it). Regards. |
