Mail, Storage Card = won't load

I'm having a problem here. I have a 6 gig storage card and while it is in I cannot load my mail client if I take it out I see all my messages, but they are empty. There's a folder called mail if I delete it it does the same thing as not having the card in IE can load mail but messages are blank. So for some reason my phone is storing my mail on the storage card and my touchj is somehow corrupting something in this folder without affecting the rest of my device. Is there a way to make my mail stop saving to the storage card? It's not the attachments either I have save attachments to storage unchecked. I don't know if this is some ROM specific thing but I'm running JD's Rom right now.
