Opera Browser

I am looking for some help concerning the Opera browser. I have a Verizon xv6900, and have downloaded the Opera Mobile browser twice, and successfully installed it. I have an icon in my programs for Opera, but when I press it, the screen blanks out for a second then nothing happens.

I really can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I searched the forums here and at xda and this problem is really not addressed.

On the Opera site, there is mention of a Verizon specific .cab file, but I searched for it and could not find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks D, but these link to the same .cab files that I have tried already. I can't believe that I am the only one who is having this problem.

I've got Opera Mobile 8.65 on XV6900 and runs fine. Hmmmm

Did you install internally or to a microSD card?

I've been using opera mobile 8.65 installed to device for months and havent had a problem with it. Maybe you might try installing java and getting opera mini? It runs really well on the touch.

Did you do a soft reset after you installed?
