Half of ring, then missed! WTF!!

I am getting pretty tired of this.. It rings a half of ring and then I miss the call, even if I catch it really quick and hit the answer key, I MISS IT!! 50% of the calls come that way..


This cannot go on any more.. Is there a fix? THANKS!!

I'll look through it, anyone know if there is a definite fix? Or is it the typical, take this out and that out, click here and there deal?

This problem seems to be hit and miss based on each device. Speculations are primarily dealing with custom 6.1 roms, and today time-outs. I have remedied this problem on my device by disabling today time-out and changing the power setting to never sleep. I am running ghettofreeryder's 6.15 - it may be something simpler for you if you are runing the stock rom.

Here is the Setting for your how often your phone "checks" the towers to see if there is a call for you....less checking=less ring time more checking=more ring time.
I have mine set to 0 (fastest)

To do this, you will need your MSL (6 digit number), which only Sprint (or your provider) can provide you, call and ask or do a search for the program GETSPC, it will also give you your MSL without calling Sptrint for it.

Open up the phone app and dial ##778# (PST).
You will be asked to enter your MSL.
Enter it, and you will be brought into the provisioning of your phone.
From the top left, select Modem Settings.
On this page, your Slot Cycle Index (SCI) is how often your phone polls the tower for incoming calls, etc.
This value is 1.28 seconds multiplied by 2^value (i.e 0=1.28 secs, 1=2.56secs) with 0 fastest, 7 slowest. The default is 2.

the only thing I can contribute to this thread is that I have found setting your ringer to "vibrate then ring" will make this problem a lot worse

so if that's how your ringer is set, try switching it to "vibrate and ring" and see what happens

I just had the same problem. Happened over night for no reason at all and then the following day it would take 20-30 seconds to dial a number after pressing the greeen button. Phone went back to the factory, tested in lab and p***** (why can't i type the word p a s s e d)????. Told them to field test and the problem came and went so they said they would replace the board in it. Took so long for it to arrive they just replaced phone for me
