2 new voice messages? Since when?

So I got a voice message and the notification popped up. Normal right? Cool.

20 minutes later, I get the voice mail notification again. I look at the phone and the notification says I have 2 new voice messages. I figured it was a glitch. I called my voice mailbox. Sure enough I have 2 new vms.

Now I leave 8 voice messages on my phone to see if I could duplicate it. And sure enough, 8 new voice messages is in the notification. When did Sprint start doing this? I thought that the Sprint network didn't support this feature. It definitely didn't do this before.

I'm running a WM 6.1 rom if that helps. Anybody else notice this?
