Touch auto switching between ringer settings

I am having a strange issue using my BT headset with my Sprint Touch. After I hang up from a call, my phone switches between ringer settings.

Meaning, say my phone is set for vibrate. I make a call. After I hang up, the phone automatically switches to Ringer. The next call I make and then hang up, it will switch to ringer off and so on.

It only happens when I use BT. I tried another BT headset but had the same results. Soft resets do not help either. I can try a hard reset but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and knows of a solution.

Any ideas?

This happens to me as well. I'm running WM 6.1, what version of Windows Mobile do you have?

Hey Musicman. i am running JDs 6.1. Originally he had trouble getting BT to work but then fixed it. I have been having ever since.

Could it be the way 6.1 handles BT and Profiles? Maybe 6.0 drivers are not fully compatible with 6.1? I dunno. I'm at a loss.

Unfortunately I'm at a loss too. Oroginaly I think he had taken the BT stack from a different phone but then switched to the Touch stack

Have you tried a hard reset?

Hi again Musicman. Just wanted to let you know that a hard reset did NOT help. Same issue with no programs or tweaks applied.

I also noticed another issue with this ROM. When accessing secure web sites, you can only type numbers but not letters and only with the Touch keyboard. Did you have this issue too?

Hi all - this problem has been driving me nuts on my Titan. I'm running No2Chem's 6.1 5065 build, but also had this problem on his 6.1 5060 build. I wonder if perhaps it also has something to do with MS Voice Command. Here's my thought: perhaps if everybody that's having this problem could list what they've got on their device, we may be able to discover a common program causing the issue. Here's my setup.

Titan, No2Chem's W6.1 5065 build

MS Voice Command 1.617...

Seeing that you Touch folks are also having trouble leads me to believe that the problem may be in the unofficial versions of 6.1 we're using, but if the problem were widespread it would have much more attention and probably a fix. So - please post away!

I don't use any ROMS and this happens to me. I'm beginning to hate the touch and windows mobile.

Well there's a testimony - hopefully MS will get their crap together and fix this thing! Thanks for the info, jilted. Anybody got Bill Gates' cell number?
