SMS Help? [please?]

I just bought SMS-chat by ViTO technology, and it's amazing. However, when I want to compose a text I usually click the text button on the HTC Home Plugin. How can I either change my deafult SMS app, or change the app HTC Home uses. I've searched PPCgeeks and Google and apparently this is more complicated than i thought.

any help?
thanks

Wink Re: SMS Help? [please?]

I know that the call to tmail.exe is hard coded into HTC Home so unless someone can decompile that you are out of luck.

Another way might be for someone to write an app that intercepts calls to tmail and redirects them to a program of your choice.

I have flashed my rom to 6.1 and just love the treaded texting that tmail now has so have no need for a solution.

Cheers

I have searched this too without much luck, even using SPB shell, its hard to change the default path. Easiest solution is to just assign a soft key which is what i do. Runs very quickly as i leave it in the background as well, no probs.

Re: SMS Help? [please?]

Since you are using the HTC Home plugin, why not assign one of the program buttons to the SMS program?
