How long after soaking did you wait until you tried to turn it on? Did you give it ample enough time to dry or did you try to see if it turned on right after soaking it?

Did you use denatured alcohol to clean it up a bit?

What you get it soaked in? Even water leaves residue, minerals behind when it dries up that may cause faulty contact and eventual corrosion.

You can take the speaker, antenna assembly appart, clean with denatured alcohol, cold hair drier or mini vac and re-seat things.

Hopefully you got insurance. Water is the devil. After a while your phone will corrode.

Re: HTC SOaKED! NEED HELP

ouch 30mins is not enough time. needed at least 24 hrs dry time. take the battery cover off and battery out. use compressed air to blow any liquid out. use a lint free cloth or paper towel with denatured alcohol not regular alcohol either. if you have any of those dry packs
do not eat or get some from packages at the store or use that stuff they sell to absorb moisture at walmart and put it in a box together so it can soak up the liquid. do not pour the stuff out or o the phone.

Re: HTC SOaKED! NEED HELP

Follow what Clockcycle suggested, in my experinces, I've seen many electronics work after they get wet. And by wet I mean various ways... dropped in sink for a week (cell), dropped in lakes / streams (cameras), and water spilled onto (laptop), and all of them worked... The key is just give it time to dry. Some of those I let sit out in bags w/ those little things clockcycle suggested for a week...
