I have my phone configured for Gmail via "Mobile Email Settings" under Programs. Nothing special. Any mail received by my gmail account hits my phone within minutes.

My mail is shown in my Inbox both on my phone and on gmail's website for my account. I guess I don't understand why you say your's isn't stored on your phone.

Jus wondering why some are using the IMAP and not the POP3. Can someone tell me the diff. between the two. Thanks

imap is superior to pop3. it actually reflects what is in your inbox, so when you read a message on your device it will show up read in your inbox. when its deleted via the phone its deleted on your inbox, etc. plus, gmail has this annoying habit of showing sent messages as new inbox messages when its setup as pop3

It will come loaded with the Sprint Mobile Email program. I use it for my Gmail and it works great. I tried using IE and some third party apps, but Sprint actually got this one right. Enjoy.

The way I check my gmail is through Opera Mini 4.0.
I have opera as a shortcut on my main screen, and then Gmail as a shortcut on the opera main screen.
Its just two taps, and it automatically signs on the internet and opens up gmail as if on a desktop.
Personally, i tried both outlook and the gmail java app. I did not like either of them.
