Help with microSD Card

I was messing around with my phone and started using the camera to take some photos. After using the camera feature, I'm unable to access any of the files on my SD card. I don't see my picture folder anymore, my music folders or any of the app folders I have set on the card.

When I look at the storage used on my card it shows that 47% has been used which I assume are my existing files previously described in the paragraph above. I tried a soft reset and then a hard reset but no luck and it still shows 47% of storage used on my card.

I'm also not getting any corrupt file errors either. How could I restore these files and have them visiable in my file explorer?

Re: Help with microSD Card

Try reading the card directly with your PC.
If it can read it, copy all your file on the card to your PC and then reformat the card.
Insert it back to your Touch and see if it recognize the card. If so, then reload all your files back to the card.

Re: Help with microSD Card

Welcome to the club my friend!
I have had the same thing happen to me more times than I can count. I have even replaced my phone.

What you can do is this...
If you have one of those miniSD cards, you need a little adaptor that the guys at Sprint gave me for free. I inserted it into my sd card reader and looked at the contents of the card and everything was screwed up sometimes, and OK sometimes.

IF you get a bunch of jumbled garbage (like squares and symbols) your card is corrupt and you need to use a program like GETDATABACK. I ran the program and was able to retrieve my pictures and put them in a seperate folder. After that, I reformated my card and moved all of the programs and pictures back onto it.

If you see everything looks normal, but your phone STILL doesn't see the pictures, then take everything off, store it on the desktop, and reformat your card and put it back on.

Take heart, you are not the only one. I have called Sprint and complained, but they act like they have never heard of the problem.

Good luck.
