Touch Keyboard - VERY SLOW when typing SMS

When the phone was bare bones stock the keyboard was quick, almost fast enough to keep up with my one-handed typing. Now after installing only a handful of applications it has slowed down to a crawl and has become a real nuisance when trying to send a text message.

Here is a list of all apps I have installed on my phone:

• GB-Soft Tweak
• HTC Home plugin 6 tab
• Wisbar Advance 3 build 3.1.0.7
• SRS WOW HD
• no2chem 6800 battery driver
• Polen Vista Cube
• Polen Vista Dialer
• Polen Vista Keyboard with red XT9
• Resco Explorer
• Resco Registry add-in
• Schap's Advanced Configuration tool v. 1.00

Does anyone know which one of these apps is causing my keyboard to lag so badly?

I went back to the dnj ROM because he has the Vista keyboard and I like it much better than the stock Touch keyboard and yes I agree when using other roms the Touch Keyboard hasn't been very responsive lately don't know what happened all of a sudden.
I haven't really much had a need to use the Full Screen SPB or PCM keyboard after using dnj Vista Keyboard

But I've been having weird issues with all these Roms

Well I am using a custom ROM(see my signature) but without this software listed in my post above the keyboard is quite responsive but after installing that software above it is lagging really bad.

EDIT:: Just bought Touchpal and it works great. I had Resco Keyboard 5.01 and also PCM Keyboard and they worked fine too but I have fat fingers so the buttons were kinda small for me. I just really like the standard Touch Keyboard but can't stand how slow it is.

resco keyboard 5.01 pro with the iskin is the best keyboard imo

I'm noticing the same problem. If I type to quick the words act like its in abc and not t9. Every now and then I have to go back and erase what i wrote and type it slower. Its done this with a couple of the 6.1 roms i've tried (and currently using). Don't know if related to the 6.1 or the other misc junk I have installed as well.

I have to agree Resco Keyboard with iskin is the best I have found & is the only one I use

I remember using the TouchPal and it was really fast but then I just couldn't get use to the different tabs it has. I was good with the Touch Keyboard but something is weird with it in WM 6.1 .. so I'm enjoying the Vista Keyboard the most and haven't really used the PCM w/ SKINs which is really cool or the Fullscreen SPB (since i dont wanna use both hands when texting sometimes)

you guys ever try emptying your "deleted items" in the text messages folders and see the difference from having 150 texts to 0 ??? works for me
