Do you see improvement in the video performance/smoothness with the Beta SlingPlayer? I'm on the fence about getting the Vogue based on the overall poor video performance reviews so many people have given...and SlingPlayer performance is an important decision point for me.

Did the beta version give you any improvements over the standard version?I find the standard version works OK,but fairly choppy.

I agree. I have applied for the besta program. I hope they'll let me try the latest PPC platform because i would love to watch sling on my touch. I had it on my treo and it was much better.

The current build works as well on my new touch as it did on my previous 700wx. as i am sure you know it really depends on upload speed, hopefully 2.0 improves the overall performance of the slingbox.

Its great! I use to own the 700p for sprint and it was hard to use and the picture quaity was not that great, but on my touch it works out great. Also I use it on my laptop too.

so is the video really choppy? or does it just depend on your upload speed at home?

In my use there is no difference. i get the same fps(high 20's or 30) and upload speed(400 to 500's) that i did with my 700wx. the veiwing is much better on the vouge due to screen size & resolution. upload speed and settings(computer & device) seem to be important factors in slingbox performance.
