SlingBox on Vogue? - Yay or Nay...

i got slingbox av on my comcast hd box and everythings cool.

the speed wont be an issue, but i have to warn you that my slingbox doesnt play nicely with my router. i cant stay connected for more than a day or two, and eventually i gave up messing with it and havent touched it in three months. ive talked to support no less than ten times and even though i know what im doing i had them configure it remotely three or four times and it still lost the connection. im reluctant to blame it on the router too, its been great with everything else ive thrown at it including the notoriously finicky wii.

Got my Slingbox set up about a week ago and I'm about as pleased with it as can be. I had some problems setting it up using a wireless gaming adapter to connect to my router, but solved them by purchasing the Slinglinks (Slinglinks = Slickness). I watch most of my programing in an area where I get maybe two bars at most (Sprint) and it's still much better than I thought it'd ever be.

you have to open 5001 port i think it is on your router and make sure you got the slingbox ip address set for that open port as well..

as a matter of fact i just reinstalled slingplayer/slingmobile tonight and enjoy watching a little tv on the computer without turning on the tv or buying a tv tuner card.

It might give you a slightly better picture, but from what I read, its minimal at best, and you still are locked to max of 640x480 on your lan, so in my mind its not that huge a difference, especially on a 2.8" screen, but even on a laptop

Slingbox has a new beta version for slingplayer PPC and it is supposed to have some tweeks to improve the picture for the Vogue?Has anyone tried it,if so how much does it help?Would like to give it a try if someone out there can help me.

Vogue is worthless without this - I strongly recommend you get it..
