Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
This interface is great but I find it really hard to understand how it works. I guess I am used to be with windows mobile. I have to use the volume buttons to scroll functions and use the photo button to enable keybord (witch I find pretty cool and accurate).
I really really like the fact that everything is really nice and animated. This is very cool and I hope it will be the same in Windows Mobile 7! Thanks to all! |

Wow Pretty cool. I find it very funny the browser is already better then pie. Once finished I think this is going to be a wonderful much needed alternative to windows mobile

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
I have updated the installer for this at http://www.myhtcphone.com/installer
It now includes saving data to a SD card. Let me know if it works/doesnt work for you. It doesn't work on my Kingston Class 6 4Gb SDHC card. The sites got some new stuff so check it out. |
Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
I used your latest cab installer, today to check out the changes from the old version I had but it locks up now when I go to run it. Says it can't find control for tty or something to that effect then just hangs there until I reset the device.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
Are you using a SD card that is 4gb or larger?

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
No I have a 1 gig card in mine, installed to main memory rather than card. Going to try it again now I just updated radio to 3.42 and reflashed my rom. Ok installed and ran same deal. Can't access tty; job control turned off. Then it hangs.

eTiger13: I really appriciate the effort and the installer format, but my experience sounds like everyone else here who has commented on it so far. In addition to the "can't access tty" error, I first see "Unknown boot option `ppp.username=....
I think you ought to pull the link until you've stabalized your distro more or you will sour many peoples first experience with Android. I have the latest build from a gentleman at Massey University and it runs from my 8GB SDHC card quite nicely. A more complete log of my boot is as follows (falsified ppp info for this post): Code:
I'm then left at a [bash?] shell. Using ls, I can see that /sdcard/system and /sdcard/system.gz exist. |
Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
rainabba, if you connect your ppc to your computer (using WinMo and not Android) what is your storage card named?
Also, did you change any of the options in the default.txt files? If so, what are they? What type/brand is your SD card? |

I'm running DHArvey's latest with Spb Mobile Shell 2.1. I was able to run this a couple of weeks ago on my 512 card, but I also installed that directly to the device |
