dose wm 6.1 suport imap?

this is probably a stupid question but dose it and if so how come I every time i try to set up my gmail account it automatically sets up and POP?

Google has both IMAP and POP servers, and both are supported on all versions of windows mobile. If you are wanting to set up your Gmail as an imap account, uncheck the box for "try to get email settings automatically from the internet" on the page where you type in your email address. Then, you can manually input your email servers.

unlike 5 & 6, 6.1 does not have a check box for manual setup it goes strat into auto setup
