Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
You must write long text messages that you have this problem. Usually the standard keyboard for the touch is pretty good at still showing you all the text, after all you can only use 160 characters. For threaded SMS, a lot of people use PocketCM though. Google it and you'll find it.

Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
what keyboard are you using? im using pocketcm for threaded sms and contacts program. i have tried a few keyboards and found that the "happy tapping" keyboard works the best, its doesnt hide the text when im typing a messege. when i was using the pcm keyboard, it would hide the text that i was typing.

Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
there's a reg hack that allows you to drag your keyboard around the screen. i just flew in from tokyo and have been up for bout 30 hours, so i'm too tired to find it rite now

Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
i have the same issue also, i only get like 1 visible typing line using the standard keyboard because the autocomplete/autocorrect takes up an additional line as you're typing.. it's quite annoying that you can't slide the chat window a little up to make some room..

Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
I just create a "new" chat which gives me the entire window to type in and not that little square at the bottom that the keyboard hides anyway. Once I hit "send" it still threads as its supposed too.

Re: Free Threading SMS with the HTC Touch
well like always.. i figure out everything because some people around here think they're going to get carpal tunnel by typing a few helpful sentences..
anyway to fix the problem if anyone here uses the standard keyboard, my solution is to disable HTC stupid auto complete menu list. HKLM\software\tegic\eT9 set HTCStyleSelectionList to 0 see screen shot from before/after now im off to figure out how the hell to disable the annoying feature where each letter is capitalize after each period when typing SMS.. even if you have auto-caps in the options set to OFF. obviously MS doesn't know the difference between ON and OFF because ift doesn't have affect on whether its on or off in the settings.. it still capitalize each letter.
