Email Setup Issue!?

I just got the Touch and need to setup email. I'm not doing enough for Seven or any other push systems. I have a yahoo email account and the Outlook preloaded on the phone should work fine but someone told me I gotta keep the yahoo email account logged on in order to receive messages. Yahoo gives you that option to stay logged in for 2 weeks but thats a pain. I seen the Yahoo Mail Plus has offline access but I am still trying to figure out the best possible way. Can you guys help me?

I don't believe you have to stay "logged in", but you can setup Outlook on your phone to check your mail every 5 minutes or every 4 hours, etc... There are many options.

I got my email linked via windows live.. can i get it to check for mail every 5 mins or 4 hrs or whatever??
