Re: freezing problem with HTC touch
actually I'm having the same problem.
After a call, when I press end, it goes to today screen with phone label on top and freezes, sometimes I have to turn off and on the screen (not the system) or reset. usually that freeze lasts for 10-20 secs I think but it really bothers me too. Sometimes while checking my voicemail, pressing speaker mode totally F**kup my touch to the point where I have to reset. I thought it was my dial skin was causing a problem. I'm using apple's iphone dial skin.. What do you use sayed.im? |

Re: freezing problem with HTC touch
did you have the problem before applying the dial skin? when i've had phone problems, i would hard-reset and use the phone for a day or two to see if the problem returns. i then (painfully but) methodically add 3rd party apps, use the phone and if the problem returns i'll remove the software. this is the best way to determine if it's the phone or add-on software.

Re: freezing problem with HTC touch
I got the same problem
Occasionally, (like every 3rd call) my phone freezes when someone tries to call. I get the prompt to "answer" or "ignore" but my phone becomes unresponsive and I am unable to select anything and require a soft reset. I have to reset my phone several times a day now. I never had these problems until I started downloading various home brewed programs from "this" website (ppcgeeks.com) onto my phone. Now my phone is ****ed!!! =D> Whip-tee-doo there goes $500 bucks out the window! =D> Is there a way to reset my phone back to how it was shipped to me?

Re: freezing problem with HTC touch
Thats easier said than done. No one has been successful with a good looking iphone dialer yet or else we would've had it already. But yea, any of those iphone dialers with make your device freeze after switching from keypad to call status after you input something with the keypad and leave it there. If you input something with the keypad, and erase it before switching to call status, it wont freeze, at least from my experience it wont

Re: freezing problem with HTC touch
ajones7279, 1st off I have soft rest my phone many times, I've hard reset it many times, and I even popped the battery out and just left it out for a while and still my phones freezes and is slow as hell. I haven't flashed, downloaded any roms, or cooked any thing in anyones kitchen and I have never downloaded a dialer. My phone is practically useless now. Here is a list of programs thats ever been installed on my phone.
cube configurator (uninstalled) UL (uninstalled) vista cube 2.0 (still installed) nueLED (still installed) sMMS (1st program I ever installed. don't remember having problems) (still installed) Happy Tapping keyboard (still installed) pocket nester (still installed) HTC home customizer (uninstalled) minimo (uninstalled) mini opera (uninstalled) PIE (still installed) Screen Capture (still installed) WM6 threaded txt (uninstalled) Touchpal v3 (still installed) remote desktop (uninstalled) Macromedia flash player (uninstalled) power manager (uninstalled) One thing I see is that these programs don't fully uninstall. Is there something I can do to just completely reset/restore my phone back to factory installation. Last edited by rayswiz; 04-28-2008 at 06:34 PM. |
