Weather Question

Hi, It is the Newbie, and I've run into another thing, while setting up my new HTC Touch. (which by the way, I LOVE!) In fact, one of things I love the most, is the Today screen with the weather graphics on the top half. (I do a lot of nature phototgraphy, and the weather actually figures into my work assignments).

My question is: How do I get MY location to show up as the default. I live in a small town on North Carolina's East Coast, and I wouldnt expect it to be listed in the existing list of locations. but, I just assumed I would be able to add my location to the existing list. I had to choose Raleigh, which is about a 2.5 hour drive from where I am.

Did I miss something? Was I expecting to much? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Re: Weather Question

Im pretty sure that you have to install the HTC Home Customizer and run a custom weather database. Pretty much if you live in the US and have an area code your location can be added.

Here the link.

Re: Weather Question

Or you can modify the file in the Windows folder HH_0409_WeatherCities.
You'll need an app like Resco that can modify files in the Windows folder.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is Resco something I need to download? Do you know the link for it? Thanks!

Re: Weather Question

it appears that my location no longer works, i need to find a way to get my college's weather to start working again because i miss teasing the girlfriend about how cold it is (snowing now with whiteout conditions... good thing we're in the library)
