Phone Connection Issue

I have recently developed an intermittent problem with my Sprint Touch. It started about three weeks ago. Every once in a while, when I make or receive a phone call, it connects but I cannot hear the other party and vice versa. It takes a soft reset to clear the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? Were you able to solve it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Phone Connection Issue

I am having this same issue with my Verizon Touch. The phone will ring, and I will answer it, and there is no sound at all, yet the display shows that the phone is connected. If I try calling out, the same thing happens, no sound. A soft reset does solve it until the next time. Anyone figure out what causes this?

Re: Phone Connection Issue

I had a similar experience earlier this week, and was able to fix it.

I would get a phone call, the phone would ring once, then show up as a missed call. The person calling me would not hear any ringing, and would never get voice mail.

I called Verizon, and they were able to fix the problem. The rep told me that the touch does not have an ESN, it has some other sort of thing (forgive me, but I can't remember what she called it...she said it was more advanced than an ESN) that "falls off the network from time to time". After about 2 minutes on the line with her, it was fixed.

You are not describing the exact same problem, but you may want to speak with tech support to find out.
