Re: Help how can i change my MDN and MSID
u have to have the MSL unlock code (each phone has a unique number) which only sprint has.. you have to call them and ask... most of them won't give you the code so you might have to ask a few times.. just call them and tell them you need the phone reprogrammed.

Quote:
Here is what you need to do: 1. Download GetSPC(attached below) 2. Unzip to desktop 3. Turn off phone and remove battery. 4. Write down your HEX ESN 5. Power your device back on 6. Connect via ActiveSync or WMDC 7. Copy entire folder to main memory on device. 8. Run GetSPC.exe 9. In the top box type in your HEX ESN(make sure caps is on) 10. Click generate or whatever the button is named 11. The resulting number should be a 6 digit number, your MSL 12. From your dialpad, dial ##xxxxxx#(note: the xxxxxx are your MSL) 13. Click edit 14. Input your MDN and MSID 15. Click ok This will use your device ESN to determine your actual MSL unlock code. There are more steps than it is difficult. I hope this helps. Dan. EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to attach file before posting. Lol. It's there now.

Re: Help how can i change my MDN and MSID
awesome but the program gave me the same code that the customer service rep at sprint gave me. I think I am going to flash my phone with the original rom and see if that helps...

Re: Help how can i change my MDN and MSID
Ok make sure you post your results. Once you get your MSL working, let me know. I can help you permanently change it. My MSL is 000000 and because it is written to the actual device, even changing ROM's will never cause that number to change.
It also makes it so that my phone will accept other CDMA carrier's(like verizon) provisioning services should I ever decide to switch carriers. Dan. Last edited by DHarvey; 03-27-2008 at 11:34 PM. |
