Speed up transfers to SD card?

Is there a way to tweak the speed that files are sent via USBsyc to the Vogue's SD Card? I transfer movies on to it that are 250MB and seem to take up to 20mins+ .. I don't really want to have to remove the SD card everytime due to the wear and tear on the slot.. and I normally only do 1 movie at a time but if doing 2+ I'd still remove SD card and plug into PC.

Honestly.. DO it before bed! wake up and you're done.. I know it doesn't answer, but its what I do!

That's why I wish the Touch had an easier way to get to the SD slot. I loved out the 700wx had the open slot at the top. Even the Q had an easy open rubber cover.
