I'm probably not the best person to answer, but I would guess that the BT stack would need to be OS specific. Kind of like taking a driver or dll from windows 98 and trying to make it work on XP.

There are a few WM5 ROMs floating around if you wanted to just downgrade to WM5 until Pioneer gets their act together.
