i believe if you typs your contacts into your outlook and when you add more names to your outlook on your pc or laptop it should sync and update the contacts on your phone.

Learned this the hard way when my fiance was going through my phone and an ex-girlfriend's number had somehow made it back on to my phone without my knowing... Trust me, it was anything but pleasant but a good thing to know for the future. Last edited by DHarvey; 03-18-2008 at 01:38 AM. Reason: typo |

The quickest, easiest way is to just copy "pim.vol" from the root of your device to your storage card. Instant contact/calendar event/etc backup.

If you have a data plan, you might sign up for a free Exchange account at mail2web. Then you can setup your phone to sync with that Exchange server. You can sync contacts, calendar, and tasks. It sync automatically, so as soon as you make a change it will be saved to the server.
Then if you have to hard reset or flash, just setup the Exchange server on your phone again and it'll put all your info back on there. I just did this for my wife's Q. She doesn't use mail2web for email, I just set it up as a way to sync everything automatically.
