my htc touch isnt recognized by computer

When i plug my HTC touch in the computer with the wcb cord it says usb device not recognized . What do i do.

Did you install the Microsoft ActiveSync software? If you didnt you may want to give that a try and see if that helps.

Here is another thing to try. Go to settings menu and choose the connections tab. One of the options will be for usb to pc. open this up and either turn on or turn off the enable advanced network functionality.

it was doing that to me too .. i just connect it to another usb an boom i was on the map again ..

I had the same problem. I just deleted my Blackberry software and everything was fine. Do you have any other phone software installed on your PC?

no actuallly i found out the prob was jus to use a differnet usb cord but thanx anyway guys
