*Yawn* Hey mods, instead of just closing these things, remove them or mark them as closed in the title. Bad enough you can't use colorful phrasing here anymore...as if there's 4 year olds reading this....if you're going to close every thread that contains the text "GPS", go the extra step and save the rest of us a lot of time.

Its all speculation for now until we can at least get confirmation from multiple sources from people "in the know" that visit these various PPC forums.

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?

The update will not be in March unless they moved it quite... Last I was told was around June... If you dont believe the Info I am giving just search and see who posted the Sprint Mogul Rom before it was on the website or Who called the Date of Release prior...

Anyways take it for what you will... I wouldnt doubt if they moved the date forward but they were planning on WM6.1, GPS and RevA at the same time..

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?

Not to mention I was Told it will have WM 6.1 in with the Release.. WM6.1 was just RTM'd by MS mid Feb.. HTC/Sprint would have 2-3weeks to build the Rom to a stable release before even submitting it to the Lab for Qualification...

Not going to happen... Dont Expect anything til atleast June... Until around then I wont post anything more about it unless I hear otherwise... I dont work for sprint I just have contacts in that department...

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?

sorry for the late response, here is the txt message I recieved from Bell;

Your new wireless device is e9-1-1 and AGPS ready. For more information or to turn off AGPS visit www.bell.ca/e911.

"Assisted GPS technology Assisted GPS (AGPS) combines the reliability of multiple location technologies -- Global Positioning System (GPS), 1X network triangulation and cell site location-- so that Bell cell phones and wireless PDAs can be accurately located even in the most difficult environments.
In some cell phone user manuals, AGPS is referred to as the LOCATION option. With the exception of 911 services, your location will only be used at your request. Your user manual explains how to disable AGPS for all services but e9-1-1."

I tried Google Maps and it didn't seem to make a diff.

Yes, AGPS for 911 only. Not for general use.
