SYSTEM sounds

Hello all first off great site, great info, really great people overall a wonderful place.
now to my question... Does any one know how to change the SYSTEM sounds without cooking up a new rom? the pages of threads have shown me I can:
A) use .wav files and customize my sounds and notifications dropdown.
1) kewl fixes most of the problem but not all.

B) I can cook a new rom and apply custom sounds that way too.
1) would prefer to not go this route if I can help it.

This is for a sprint Vogue wm6 pro aka sprint touch...Im trying to replace sounds like when you send a text message you get the mess. sent notifier and or when you use comm manager to enable airplane mode theres that little sound it makes....ETC... P.S. I have been searching the threads but didnt see this question answered. If your wondering ...I am trying to replace ALL event sounds in the ENTIRE operating system with the STARTREK computer voice

I don't have my other "brain" with me, but start with:

HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default\Wave = '\windows\alarm2.wav'

:is your text message sent sound. Most of the others are in this same area....

Finger out which wav it plays, then search your registry. That's how I found this one.

Put whatever sound you want into \Windows\Rings

And then Use Settings>Sounds and Notifications>Notifications

The sounds you added will be in the drop down list.

Thank you guys for the quick response....ill be checking those reg values shortly as i want to change all the startup shutdown sounds as well...

What you said only works on Incoming call all the other ones dont have that option
