Hear the person before answering the phone - Page 2

The only thing I've added to my phone is the iPhone dialer, and i was having this problem (and a wierd problem when my predictive text will get all garbled after sending a lot of messages and can't be fixed except with a restart).

I haven't set up any voice command stuff on the phone even for dialing. Very perplexing.

I have not installed or setup any voice commands on mine.
I will have to try calling from my home or work phone and see if it does it then.
So far the only time I have noticed it doing this, is when my son or daughter
have called from there cell phone and they are both on sprint.

Mine does this all the time, calls from verizon, cingular and sprint all do it. its not every person, but its always the same people and never from land lines are far as I know.

I just tried from my land line and I was able to hear me while it was still ringing.

I'm getting more and more disappointed in this phone. All the praise yet it has so many bugs.

I don't know what to do, go back to the Mogul or go back to my Treo.

No voice commands installed, I've experienced this from people on cell phones (Rogers Network) and on land lines. I don't know if it does it every time or just randomly.

Would this be a bad batch of phones?

My Sprint Touch does not do this. I bought it in late Dec 07.

Well, I can say mine started doing this after I changed that audio file in the windows directory to make call volume higher. I remember that after I changed that file this weird thing started to happen. I have noticed it only happens with sprint phones so far, and no I have not installed voice comand.
