Hear the person before answering the phone

I looked through the 8 pages on the HTC Vogue threads and didn't see anything
that related to this, so I thought I would see if anyone else has had this happen.
I have a HTC Touch, Sprint. When I get a call, I can hear the person that is calling me
talking before I answer my phone.
I have installed a few programs on my phone, Sprite backup, S2U2 ver99P, Ultimate Launcher
and full keypad.
Now I don't know if it's been doing this since day one or not. I just
noticed a few days ago when my daughter called, I could hear her
talking and my phone was sitting there ringing. So I did a few test by calling
my phone and talking while it's ringing and I could hear myself.
It's possible it could of been like this from day one and when someone called
they were not speaking so I would not of noticed it.
Even tho I kinda doubt my daughter would not be talking while she is calling
me, as it's not often she is silent.

My plan is to restore my phone with sprite back to original and see if it does
this, if it doesn't, I have a backup from each time I installed a program, so I
will restore it after each time I installed a program to see when it started.
But first, I thought I would see if anyone one here has ever experenced this.

BTW, this is a great forum, I have learned a lot, but have a lot more to learn.

Just to clarify-
So people think you can't hear them while they're talking during the ringing?

How can I get my mogul to do this?? I mean, does anyone know why this is happening on the Touch??

I know that sprint has had a couple phones that would let you "preview" the voicemail of callers and decide whether to answer.

I have never heard of this in all my 16 years of working in the wireless community.

As far as I know, this technology is not yet available.

so this is normal???? It's bizarre. And yes it's been happening to me for two months now. I love the phone - just a few glithces that are annoying...
like WM Outlook that comes with the phones is automatically deleting emails that are more than a day or two old. That can't be normal and I can't figure out how to stop it. Go Figure

I love to seed forum's with ideas and watch what happens. Nearly every idea I have posted has come to fruition in some form. (actually still waiting on creation of mp3 player that allows bookmarking)

So how about this... Developers, are you li$tening?
This should be real simple now, and I've got $50 to the first to do it. I've given several donations to many of you so some of you know I'm good for it. Your mission if you choose to accept -

Record the call tone (that the caller hears while waiting for you to pickup) and use it to playback immediately upon answer.
Have phone auto-answer in mute.
Have option to turn off this feature.
Ideally, have option to forward call to voicemail using a script to do a three way calling to the voicemail.... or ultimately have it auto-record directly to the phone.

I believe it only happens when its another Sprint user calling you. If anyone else calls me I can't hear them, but if its another Sprint phone I can hear them.

I'm having the same problem - and yet reversed. I don't know if it happens every time or not, but more often than i would like. At least a half dozen times now when I answer the phone the person on the other end says "what took you so long to answer, I could hear you before the phone even started ringing."

While it might be useful to hear someone's voice before they answer, it is infintessimally less useful to have someone hear what you're doing before you even have a chance to answer or ignore the call.

Do all HTC touch phones have this issue, or is it a bad batch? (Mine is on the Rogers network in Canada). When someone calls me the screen lights up, then the name of the person displays, and then finally it starts ringing and allows me to answer - is that normal too?

Do any of you have voice command installed. I think that's whats doing it.
