Default HTC Keyboard conflict! - Not default SIP Problem

This is driving me nuts! After a soft-reset:

I see this keyboard for a bit:


After a few seconds, I start getting this keyboard:


Both of these keyboards seem to reside under the HTC Keyboard option, and conflict.

With SIPchange.cab, I can select the default SIP no prob, for example if I set the default to PCM Keyboard, it'll default to PCM no prob.

The sprint version of the keyboard (first image) was included in the custom Rom I'm using (mr.jcarter's Rom - Awesome Rom by the way )

I'd just like to remove one of the default HTC keyboards but don't know how!

EDIT: Found this: "The smartphone selects the version you get based on what app you're in, so Word Mobile gets the SureType (center) version while File Manager gives you the traditional layout (left). However, things get a little iffy if you switch between apps and one keyboard might stick (switch from Word to File Manager and back to Word and you'll get the standard (left) keyboard as it forgets to switch back. The SureType style keyboard works fairly well, though I'd prefer being able to switch between them myself."

So apparently on the sprint version, it detects which version suits the application better and selects it...pfft.

Don't know what this program does but it fixed the conflicting keyboards with mr.jcarter's rom

the second one sucked at first, but you get really fast after you get the hang of it.
