Yes unfortunately you will need a bluetooth reciever until internal gps is enabled, or you can return the TT if possible.
There are a lot of cheap gps units out there, I would recommend the Holux 1200, it is about the smallest one out there, one of the longest battery life (over 20 hours), and one of the cheapest at around $35-$55 shipping included off EBAY if you look around. On a happy note, TT is just outstanding on the Touch Holux combo, always within a couple feet for me in accuracy. Just get a cheap reciever for now you'll love it. We are in the same boat, impatiently waiting for GPS, the most reliable rumor I've heard is by summer Q2, but it could be tommorow or maybe never, look around the site here you'll see good info. Not to go off on a tangent, but i'm waiting for the verizon touch to come out and see what the community will do with the gps enabled on verizon for the sprint's touch...
