Re: Yahoo Mail on HTC Touch
It's been discussed to no end on here. Just look around and you can find lots of solutions. No offense, but you can't expect everyone to hand feed you every bit of information. I suggested a couple things and you haven't even bothered to research them? You've got to help yourself a little bit.

Re: Yahoo Mail on HTC Touch
Well, i do have internet connection (Wi-fi)
I tried downloading with my pc, it is not possible for the yahoo mobile, and neither for the seven. I have sent an sms to myself, the seven message i haven't ever got it.. The Yahoo one i got, the link is invalid, so i typed in the get.go.yahoo.com, where i was notified, that my mobile is simply not compatible, and they told me to get another phone (wtf?!?). I wouldn't care at all about these ones, if i could make the deafult simple program work, like many other people could... Edit: oh, for the seven question: on the homepage, only one operator was supported (out of the 3 in Hungary) and i was told to try the beta. And i couldn't download that, because the seven server doesn't respont, when i click "send to phone"... Last edited by JuanDebrecen; 02-02-2009 at 12:29 PM. |

Re: Yahoo Mail on HTC Touch
Thank You so much for your help! I think it works perfectly!
Though i had a few problems: it crashed during install (had to take out the battery, windows rulez..), then forgot to switch on wifi during first sign in, couldn't sign in again-->uninst-->crashed, but after it started working! I though its a different program, but its in the deafult program, so it absolutely perfect! how often does it refresh? Will it ring, when i get a new email? (Cos i haven't found such options..) Anyway, thanks once more! (btw, how do make a .cab file of a program? Just in case i might need it one day) |

Re: Yahoo Mail on HTC Touch
I can't remember exactly, it's been a while since I've used Seven, but I think if you open the Seven program you should be able to adjust the settings. Even though the email accounts show up in the default messaging program, they are managed by Seven. I have never really looked into making any .cab files but I'm pretty sure there are instructions somewhere on the site. You'll just have to look for them. Anyway, if there are any other specific .cabs you are ever needing, feel free to PM me.

Last time I checked seven was a favorite for push email. It is free. A note about batteries, seven will hold a data connection all day long, which actually does not drain battery unless you are constantly moving towers and it has to keep re-iniating the data connection. Also, using any kind of email with your phone whether it be windows mobile native or seven, uses up data. This can be $$ if you don't have either a data plan/or using your wifi.
