spb gprs monitor will let you disconnect the internet connection and keeps a accurate log of data used. Resco Explorer can showing you runnig programs and gives you task manager as a today plugin

Re: Looking for the program that turns data off and opens up the memory control panel
Thanks for the help, I know the title of my post was horrible (I was planing on reposting in a clearer manner it this week, just been swamped at work).
What I was really looking for was a way to add a link to my cube that: 1) turned the data connection off in one step, without having to open a program or two pushes and 2) opened up the task manager in one step, so I can kill processes quicker. I already have Resco on there, so I'll look for its program manager to use for issue 2. |

Re: Looking for the program that turns data off and opens up the memory control panel
click the shortcut link in the top left... hit the BIG X on the left, that closes all open programs in one click...
to kill data, you can hit the END key (hard button) hold it for 2 seconds, and then hit END DATA CONNECTION... i prefere this method over having to goto COM MAN. and hit DATA give it a try it would be nice if when you check email, it would log you on, and when finished, after X minutes, log you off... pj |

Re: Looking for the program that turns data off and opens up the memory control panel
cool, thanks for the info. When you say click on the shortcut link in the top left, where are you starting from?
I agree, it'd be nice to if there's no data for 2 minutes, cut you off automatically.. |
