I personally have had to exchange over 5 times in 1 week. I have the total equipment protection on my phone so I would say no...
Just make sure you flash to an official rom before you go in

Also, make sure the phone is active. I'm trying to replace a broken palm, but my Touch is activated. In order to fix the Palm, it has to be activated, therefor leaving me without a phone for the duration.

Re: Limit to Exchanging through insurance?

FYI There is a limit to the amount of exchanges through asurion, three per year. There is no limit on fix or replace in store or within 30 days.

Re: Limit to Exchanging through insurance?

if its under 30 days old you have 1 swap out, after that you have to go through Manuf. Warranty or the service center. Service And Repair-swapped as many times as needed based on issue. Equipment Replacement Program-3 times per year (ive seen twice every six months but dont quote me) with deductible. Total Equipment Protection-Combination of Service and Repair and ERP. Hopefully this helps!!

Re: Limit to Exchanging through insurance?

I was told by my Sprint Store rep that as long as you have the full insurance there are no limits to the in-store swaps. I had three moguls and one touch replaced so far. As long as it's in decent shape, they're trade it out. If it's totally broken then they may limit it, but for something like a dark spot on the screen, they don't. The three moguls all had white dots in the lower left corner.

Re: Limit to Exchanging through insurance?

I have a Palm on the Sero plan. The hardware vibrate switch on the top is broken.
I want to get it replaced for a new in box Palm so I can ebay it. I am currently on my Touch.

Can I walk into the store and feed them a line of BS and get it replaced on the spot? (yes I am willing to pay $50)

Re: Limit to Exchanging through insurance?

I by no means offered this up to you but it was an old trick we played in retail.

If you have had the treo on your account less than 6 months ago (ins covers all phones 6 mo's after deactivation) put the phone in the microwave for 10 sec and then take it into the store. It will fry the internal radio but leave the phone unharmed everywhere else. The rep will see it searching for signal and give you a new one, maybe not on the spot as it may need to be ordered.

I take no responsibility for what you do with this knowledge and make no guarantees as to it working the way you want it to, but it used to work for me.

I was actually thinking about that, but not quite for 10 seconds.
I do have insurance on the account, should that make it any easier?
