Re: Touch clock keeps changing!

I had this problem on my first Touch, it would constantly change the time back an hour or ahead an hour. I'm on my htird one now, and now the only time it's doing it is when it's connected to my pc via usb cable. My pc will say the correct time, but for some odd reason, my Touch will revert an hour the second it makes a connection. Weird.

Damn Gremlins... if it aint the gremlins then it has to be the settings on the phone itself..unless you are near a time zone line. The carrier network sets the phones time so check the settings you have. I use the home radio button see if you have visiting checked on the settings-clocks&alarms-time tab.

The solutions

Hi All,

I batteled this for a while and found the following solutions:

1. Your PC time zone and time must be the same with your Pocket PCs. If it isnt (especially the time zone) your pocket PC will change (based on the difference) whenever you sync. To disable the pocket PC from syncing AT ALL with the PC time, while connected to activesync, go to tools-options and click in the PC you use to sync then click on settings. Disable the tick in the synchronise Time button.

2. The hidden one (which was my problem) was the provider setting the wrong time. If your provider is giving out times to the phone (as many providers do), your time might be changing as a result of the wrong time being sent to the phone from the provider. To remove this and simply use your own time or the time on your PC(during syncrohisation), just go to settings and choos phone settings, then click on the time Tab and remove the tick on "change time andzone based on carrier/provider", this will prevent any changes to the time.

hope this helps.

Re: Touch clock keeps changing!

I wonder because daylight savings times were adjusted recently that those adjustments are causing these problems. If there is a setting somewhere for auto daylight savings time adjustments disable it.
