Motorola S9 and the Touch (and other general Q's)

Does anyone have both that can report on how they work together?

I have a mogul right now but I'm thinking about switching this week. One of the reasons being the bluetooth on the mogul cuts in and out while I'm walking around outside. (The other being memory)

Are there any problems with the touch's bluetooth like there are on the Mogul? And what kind of problems do you experience with the phone? (I would think every phone would have something bad about it)

Thanks for any help,
Brian

Re: Motorola S9 and the Touch (and other general Q's)

I have both the S9 and the S705.
Both work great with the bluetooth on the Touch. Honestly i was very surprised by how clean the audio is with the A2DP.

I would recommend both. I use the S705 in my car hooked up to my mini RCA adapter. And then the S9 all around. Typically walking over 1.5 miles twice a day and I have yet to have any dropping in and out in regards to bluetooth. Now streaming radio station that is another thing. =)

I am using the S9 with my touch and am very pleased with them.
the only problem I have had with them is the signal becomes very eradtic if you have the phone below your waist. This only happens when I am outdoors.

That is interesting, I have not had that issue (yet).
Does it seem to be a distance thing or something else? Cause I often leave my phone on my desk streaming audio and walk with the headphones on over to my other desk and that is roughly 15 feet away and still it comes in clear without any problems.

try putting the phone on your other side. i had that same issue with the mogul (i know the phone had BT issues anyways) but i moved it to the other side and it cleared up. indoors i have about 30 ft before it starts getting bad clarity, and thats on a Mogul LOL

Try it outside. I have no problem inside, just outside. If I go for a walk and clip it to my belt it works ,but if I put it in my pocket iit starts breaking up.

IN my first message I noted I walk twice daily over 1.5 miles outside. I have it in my front pants pocket about 1/3 of the time and never had an issue with dropout. The other 2/3 it is in my front shirt pocket and I notice no difference between the two locations. Maybe I'm just shorter than you or wear my pants hiked uo higher.

Re: Motorola S9 and the Touch (and other general Q's)

Touch's bluetooth works much better then the mogul's..

With the Mogul, I had to keep the phone in my BACK pocket to work w/ the S9 (or it would repeatedly cut out)

The touch doesn't care where you have the phone...

Re: Motorola S9 and the Touch (and other general Q's)

I've used the S9 for about 2 months now when I run. I put the touch in my pocket and have no issues. I usually stream XM to the phone and then listen with the headphones. It works great for me, couldn't live without them on my runs.
