OK, perhaps I'm missing something but why all this work just to get ringtones working? Can we not just put ring tones onto the phone directly using our own music collections etc? Or is this providing some extra benefit that I missed?

This isn't about ringtones.. these are calltones... i.e. the sound people will hear when they dial your number.

you may be right about not needing modifications, once you have a bookmark with your id. so far i have to change browser and proxy to be able to search for the calltone page. I will try my bookmark after a flash.

Agreed that once bookmarked, no need to keep any of the modifications. I've reverted everything back and my bookmark still works fine.

ahhhhhh... i c now. thanks for clearing that up. I'm on Bell either way, so this won't work but I will look into the Bell aspect of it.

I finally got it to work! Anyone know how to get rid of the "Please enjoy this call tone" message?

All of a sudden it does not work anymore! Every time I try I follow the directions but after I connect to my call tone profile it drops the connection and trys to connect to SPRINTPCS
