Data connection wont turn off on touch

anybody know how to deal with this? everytime I turn it off it immediately reconnects itself? this problem is drasticaly reducing battery life.....

and yes I searched first

I had the same problem, so I took it to a Sprint service store.

Found out that the Sprint Email program was making it stay connected. The guy said the program was constantly checking for email.

Just go to your Mobile email settings and turn off the push settingm set it for every 6 hours or so.
