Cheapest GPS unit

So i'm getting really tired of waiting for the GPS update, and wanna get one to pass the time. But I don't wanna spend much and feel bad when it comes out one week later....

So i'm looking for the cheapest bluetooth GPS I can find that works. doesn't need to work great (won't be using it for walking/hiking-just driving). currently i found the OnCourse for $40 and a 10%.

Can anyone suggest cheaper?

Re: Cheapest GPS unit

I got a Holux M-1000 on ebay for about 35 bucks with shipping. I'd search out ebay for it. Have used it for about a year with different devices and have nothing but positive things to say about it. I charge it once a week on my computer (it can charge through mini USB). Fast acquisition of satellites, small, reliable.

Re: Cheapest GPS unit

Yeah Holux products are great quality for the cheapest prices, the new version of the 1000 is the 1200, which is much smaller and the charge lasts for over 20 hours.

I have the 240 which uses a different chipset but is the same size as the 1200 and they are both small enough to slip in you pocket and barely notice it.

Like Cory said, search ebay and just check the feedback for someone who ships instantly with good reviews and you'll be set.

Whatever you pick, I think the Touch needs to be hooked up through Bluetooth as opposed to usb, most are all bluetooth nowadays though.

I remember thinking the same thing a long time ago.....I've had a gps unit since my 6700, while waiting for a GPS hack or romfix from good ole HTC, at least there is a glimmer of hope this time.

Re: Cheapest GPS unit

We would not have to carry any additional bluetooth enabled GPS unit if HTC/Sprint used a little common sense by having GPS enabled on the Touch.....but they must have had some Havard wiz kid who decided it wasn't necessay to have it at all. Nice going HTC/Sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically it was a money/greed thing
Always is...

Are there any units around $30 or under that anyone can find with or w/o promo codes?
