To HTC Touch or Not ?

Hi, I need some help on deciding if I should get a HTC Touch or not. I have a Nextel/Sprint Hybrid ic902 currently but I played with my friend's iPhone and I like it. I wanted to get a PDA/Smartphone and the closest thing would be the Touch. I played with it at the Sprint store and it seems pretty nice. I don't really use my Nextel Direct Connect that much so I might want to switch over. I use over 500 texts a month and I check my Gmail periodically. I might want to use AIM if its capable on the HTC Touch. So if you guys can help me out with deciding to get the phone or should I wait and see what else Sprint comes out with. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks in advance for anybody who helps.

Re: To HTC Touch or Not ?

well it has been a long lasting debate between 2 sprint pda phones powered by wm6 "the touch" &"the mogul" i owned both of them and it boils down to this"atleast in my point of view:

The touch
pros:
1.sleek and modernized rubberized and nice over all design
2.More RAM for simultaneous use of different application "twice as much as the mogul"
3.HTC enhancments on the touch is very useful without leaving your phone sluggish and running out of memory

Cons

1.lack of the physical keyboard is the obvious difference, typing on the screen atleast for me wasn't as easy as the actual keyboard
2.i found the battery life to be less than the mogul
3.lacks the standalone gps capablities that the mogul has "although there is rumors about updates comming soon that might provid it"

The mogul

Pros
1.the slide keyboard
2.Gps
3.better battery life
4.more all over support through the ppcgeeks and the xda community than the touch
5.camera is the same as the touch but with a flash
Cons

1.physical design is obv bulkier than ur average phone
2. the RAM with the need to constantly monitor your memory usage

so keeping those points in mind go into a speint store mess with both of them and flip a coin and get one ,they r both good and remmber there is no such thing as a perfect phone "atleast for now" goodluck and wellcome to the community
