Lost all backlight settings - help!

Hi,

All of my backlight settings have disappeared, and I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen at all.

The steps between dim and brightest are completely gone, and tapping the bar does nothing. Is there some registry settings that got deleted that anybody knows of? Thanks in advance!!
