more memory card corruption!!!!

so since there are alot of new roms out there, are there still memory card corruption issues? I am about to take the step. I basically like my stock rom except the damn memory card has been messing up every 2 weeks or less. How close is the merged wm6 and the 6.1 rom to the stock sprint rom? and one more question...will i still lose my msl code on these new roms?

Re: more memory card corruption!!!!

I'm not sure what's causing the problem, I haven't had any corruption at all, even with the stock ROM.

I know one thing that was rumored to cause it was having emails stored on the memory card instead of the internal memory.

Re: more memory card corruption!!!!

so it doesnt matter if you have wm6 or wm6.1, and it doesnt matter where the emails get stored to. And it doesnt matter what size card you have. this part is getting tiresome. I use my music almost everyday at the gym and i hate when i show up at the gym and i can use my card. I wonder if sprint has a fix in the works.

Re: more memory card corruption!!!!

I wonder if the type of card matters, if there's certain brands that work and some that don't.

I think mine was a Kingston 4gb SDHC card from Best Buy.

I get this problem all the time as well and it seems to happen primarily when you listen to music that's stored on the card. For me, it seems to happen frequently if I pause something and leave it paused for a while.

So the question for you since you say you don't have any issues...how often do you listen to music on your Touch?

Sometimes I listen to it alot, but I usually don't pause it and leave the HTC AudioManager open very long, I'll usually close AudioManager.

A few weeks ago I listened to it for a couple hours on a plane ride, twice. Before that I would listen to it for 30-60 minutes while working out.

So I wouldn't say I listen to music alot, but I do use it. I have about 200 songs on my card.
