Any way to playback AVC video codec stuff smoothly?

I'd like to play PSP format (480x272) video (encoded as AVC video & AAC audio) on the Touch.. So far, using TCPMP and an AVC codec I get SUUUPER choppy video (~ 1 frame every 7 seconds). I've tried all possible video options in TCPMP (RAW framebuffer, GDI, etc...).

Has anyone been able to playback video like this smoothly on the Touch with any combination of players/codecs?
