Which is faster?

I just got a new 4gb sd card and I assume it would be faster to transfer files on to the card through my sd card reader on my laptop then through the usb cord correct? Tried it both ways with a small amount of files and couldn't really tell the difference. Anyone can say either way?

Yes it is way faster. A 170 mb file takes about 4-6 minutes over the usb cord and 30-45 seconds with a usb 2.0 card reader.

Yeah, always use a card reader when transferring large files.
