My bad. Someone pointed me here telling me we could see the part number on the memory. Like a dumb@$$ I didn't read the first post. Sorry. So if you have this thing apart, or could take off the cover realatively easily, could you please tell us the part number of the big samsung memory chip?

For one thing, I'm interested in the ram pn to find more information regarding the possibility of a mogul upgrade.

And for another thing, the agps bs you talk about is the same thing that's in the mogul. The Qualcomm msm7500 gpsone chip (read enhanced agps), capable of acting in standalone mode, is the chip that is on both phones!

Re: the last wifi thread, i promise....

interesting that there looks to be a slot for a sd or minisd on the touch right below the microsd slot. could one solder a wifi mini/normal sd chip in and close the case?

That area you're looking at is where a sim card would go if these boards were made for GSM networks instead.

Re: the last wifi thread, i promise....

Heh, nice point out zeurx. That is defiantly a SD/MiniSD port. Now we just need some one brave enough to solder a slot/SD card on it and try.......

Re: the last wifi thread, i promise....

Question though, while we have the pictures up on this forum. Is it possible to solder another MicroSD port in the open bit and have it work.....For example 2 microSD cards?.............I know USB would not have a problem doing such a thing. Any thoughts?

Re: the last wifi thread, i promise....

You would have to have an open connection to be able to solder another SD slot. The phone would probably go crazy if you soldered a slot onto the SIM card area.

Re: the last wifi thread, i promise....

I mean literally using the connector pins from the current SD Card slot and just using them for a new one.....If it has USB it would work, however I am not sure about that SD slot.
