Recorded video doesn't play back.

This is weird. Just cropped up. I did some searching but haven't found much of anything related to ths error message when I attempt to play back a video I just recorded using the phone:

"windows media player mobile No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection"

The video setting is at MPEG4. There are other formats available, including Motion JPEG, which I tried without success.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the files pertaining to WMP and if I have to re-install it. If that's the case, I'm wondering if there is a CAB file in the extended ROM that I can utilise to do the re-install. I'll have to do some digging to see if I can spot anything like that. But before I do that I'd like to see if anyone else has run into this and if there is some kind of fix. I really don't want to do a hard reset.
