My phone makes it own calls... weird

For some reason my Touch keeps randomly making its own calls. I couldn't figure out why I had people calling me and asking me if I had called them. Well my wifes phone started ringing about 4 am this morning. She picked it up then woke me up and said my phone was calling her phone. I didn't understand what she was talking about at first, but when I turned on the screen on my phone it was connected to hers. It ended up leaving a voicemail on her phone of us talking back and forth.

Apparently my phone has been doing this for quite a while now. I have no idea how it is picking who its calling, but it concerns me a little that it could be calling people randomly all hours of the night.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? I reformatted my phone this morning and have only put my contacts back on it. I don't think I had any apps or tweak done that could cause it to make random calls.

I'm confused...

Talking

You could have a virus. Plus, I have heard of ppl hacking phones and making them record voice and take video of your surroundings while the phone was powered off then emailing this stuff to you. I think it was a 2o/2o episode about someone stalking a teenage girl. The family changed their phone numbers and account only to find it was still being hacked.

I think in your case, you have a broken button and it is calling the last person you called. My phone used to do that until I bought a flip phone where the buttons were protected.

dunno... Im gonna wait and see if it does it again since I've reformatted it. I'm not going to install anything on it until I determine if it is still doing it.

My coworker showed me about a week ago where I had called her phone, yet my phone's call log had no log of it and I know I didn't call her (the phone was just sitting on my desk) - I didn't think anything of it because it hasn't happened since. Interesting that this may be a new issue.

sounds like it might be a little water damage.. sometimes water damage makes the phone do a lot of strange things on its own, like making calls or powering off randomly.. sometimes it would even show that the phone is being charged and its not even on the charger, lol.. has your phone been exposed to water?
